Factoid: Unemployment disparities—nationally, college-educated black men have twice the unemployment rate than do college-educated white men(Source: NYTimes 2009)
Employment audit discrimination study: White and black men with identifical resumes were sent to apply for jobs. Half of each race were given a fake criminal record to determine if employers were willing to employ men with criminal records. The chart below shows the percent of each group who got a call back from employers.
